HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER BAKED BEANS
Ingredients
- Two pounds of navy beans. Rinse, pick through, and soak in water overnight in the refrigerator
- Optional: 1 ham bone with bits of meat; even better
- 1 cup fancy Molasses
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- Three tablespoons dry mustard
- One teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- One large onion diced
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Add enough water to cover. Mix well.
- Cook on low for 8 hours.
- To allow the beans to thicken, take off the cover 30 minutes before you serve them.
- If you have used ham bones, remove them and throw them out.
