Subway Sandwich Bread Recipe
Add yeast and sugar to a bowl. Mix in some warm milk. Stir it well and allow it to rest for the yeast to bloom. This bread can be made with water, but I prefer it with milk.
Refine flour, salt, activated yeast, and water are all necessary ingredients in a kneading vessel. You can begin to knead the dough by gradually adding room-temperature milk.
Make a soft, sticky dough. I used 250ml of milk to make this recipe (including the yeast activation milk). The amount you use can vary depending on the flour quality.
After the dough has bonded, add two tablespoons of olive oils and continue knitting for another two minutes.
Once the dough is kneaded, it will be soft and smooth. It should be kept in an airtight container. Mixing bowl Cover the bowl with Cling wrap. Clean or not kitchen towel.
It can be left on the warm side of your kitchen to double its volume.
The dough took me 40 minutes to make, as the temperature at home is currently between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius. The proofing time will take longer if it is colder. Wait until the dough doubles.
Punch the dough once it has doubled in size and place it on a counter. I divided the dough into three equal parts to make three subway sandwich bread loaves, each measuring 9′ by 9′.
You can adjust the amount of food you eat. There is no set rule. Could you keep it simple?
Each portion should be shaped into a log. To double the volume, cover the tray with a kitchen towel.
It was afternoon, and the temperature was currently around 25 degrees Celsius, so it took only 30 minutes for this dough to rise. I was delighted to see my risen loaves.

Use a knife to score the bread and then brush it with milk. These loaves can be baked in a 200°C oven for 20 minutes.
Bake the bread for 20 minutes. After that, transfer it to a cooling rack. Suppose you prefer a soft crust, butter the bread crust. If you like rustic bread, don’t brush it with butter.
Allow the bread to rest for 30 minutes.
When bread reaches room temperature, cut it in half lengthwise and then fill it with your favorite stuffings and sauces.

- One teaspoon yeast (instant/active dry).
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 250 ml Milk

- Take flour, salt, and yeast mixture in a bowl. Begin to knead the dough using milk
- Mix olive oil with the dough and continue to knead for two more minutes
- Cover the bowl with the dough. Allow it to rest for at least 30 minutes.
- When the dough doubles, punch it and divide it into three equal parts.
- Each portion should be shaped into a loaf.
- Cover the tray with a towel and allow it to rest until the bread dough is doubled.
- Make sure to brush the dough with milk, and then make some cuts with a sharp blade.
- For 20 minutes, bake it in a 200 C oven.
- After 20 minutes, remove the bread from the oven and brush it with butter.
- Let the bread sit for 30 minutes, slice it and make sandwiches.
