The most famous Hyderabad biscuits are Eggless Karachi Biscuits. The Karachi Bakery is a renowned bakery in Hyderabad that makes cookies and other bakery products. However, Eggless Karachi Biscuits made this bakery very popular.

I can still recall the days when no one in my family traveled to Hyderabad. My only request was for a packet of Karachi biscuits.

Exotic Karachi Biscuits

I never dreamed I’d make these cookies in my kitchen. These biscuits are loved for their rich buttery flavor and abundance of tutti Frutti.

You don’t need to know what tutti frutti is; then I’ll tell you candied papayaTutti Frutti cookies are a popular recipe that I share on my blog. This recipe is also worth trying.

Hyderabad Karachi Biscuits

Combine butter and sugar in a bowl. Start mixing it. Mix it by hand or using a whisker. Mix the ingredients until they are light and fluffy.

Add All Purpose Flour, Baking Powder, and Custard Powder to the butter mixture. Combine all ingredients to bind them together. Mix it with a soft spoon until it is a cohesive dough.

These cookies were made with vanilla-flavored custard Powder. Cookies will not taste the same if flavored with any other flavor.

I added 1/4 teaspoon of Ossoro’s Karachi Biscuit flavor to the cookies to enhance their flavor. Add 2 tbsp milk. You can skip the milk if the dough feels soft enough.

Form the dough into a log, then wrap it in cling wrapping. The dough should be left in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or until the butter has set.

After 30 minutes of rest, remove the chilled dough from the refrigerator. Slice the cookies. Each slice should be about 1/2 inch thick.

These cookies will spread in your oven. If you keep them thinner than 1/2 inch, they will become too crisp.

Place all the sliced cookies on an oven tray, leaving space between them. These cookies should be baked at 180 C for 12-15 min.

The cookies will become golden when the corners are turned. This is a sign that the cookies have been baked.

After the Eggless Karachi biscuits have been baked, remove the tray from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the tray. They will not be able to be lifted. It is a good idea to rest for 10 minutes.

These cookies last for three weeks.

These cookies should be kept in an airtight container. Try this recipe now, and let me know what you think. Remember to tag me when you post pictures of your baked goods.
