Easy Tibetan Momos Recipe: These dumplings are packed with healthy veggies like carrots and cabbage sauteed with onion, garlic, soya sauce, vinegar, and black pepper. This is the perfect snack for evening snacks.
Vegetable Momos
- For dough:
- 2 cups Maida
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- Filling:
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 1 cup chopped Cabbage
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped Onion
- One teaspoon of minced Garlic
- 1 tsp Soya sauce
- Salt to Taste
- 1/4 tsp Vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
How to make vegetable momos
1. Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder and form a stiff dough using water.
2. Add the garlic and onion to the oil. Sauté the onion and garlic on high heat. Then add the carrots and cabbage. Continue to heat on high until the mixture becomes glossy.
3. Mix the soy sauce, vinegar, and black pepper.
4. The dough should be rolled thinly (translucent) and then cut into 4 to 5 inches.
5. Place some filling on the center of a circular, wet edge.
6. To cover the filling, bring the edges together. Seal the edges by twisting and filling the remainder in the same manner.
7. Cook for approximately 10 minutes, then serve with soy or chili sauce.
